Is my friend screwing me over?

Okay so I restored my friends old iPhone 5, as a "joke", since he got a new iPhone 6. Now he s telling me that I owe him $170 because there were songs on that phone that had CD s he downloaded onto it but they re not on iTunes anymore and the CD s got thrown out.

He said he has those songs on his iPad but the screen is cracked and makes it hard to use it and he can t find it and he has his songs on his Nano but it won t turn on. I don t know if I should call ******** or pay him the money. HELP!

Update:

Don't get hung up on the fact as to why I restored his phone please, it was a dumb move on my part. I just don't know if he's taking advantage of me since he knows I do have money and he doesn't.

Update 2:

Now he says he found the iPad. I'm really starting to think he's lying through his teeth.

Sounds a bit fishy to me too. But why $170?? Is that the costs of the songs he lost. How many CD's were supposedly lost on his 5? That's a lot songs from itunes. If it is all about the songs he lost than offer half like $85 or maybe offer a $100 iTunes giftcard. That way if he says I don't want a giftcard for iTunes and he demands the cash than you know he doesn't really care about the songs now does he.

Firstly, jokes are those things that are funny, what you did was not funny so learn what a real "joke" is first. Second, no idiot throws away CDs so your friend is full of crap. Either way just pay the loser the money and if he is a real friend he will not take the money unless it really was true. Then go and learn how to play proper jokes on people which means it's something they will laugh at, not something that causes incovenience to people, that would not be a joke

That seems like a whole bunch of bullcrap, how can all of his electronic stuff be broken all at the same time.? My older sister has a HUGE crack on her iPad and it still works fine, nothing on there is missing and it's not hard for her to navigate on her iPad. I say don't pay him, he's just trying to screw you over.

Tell him to go fuckkk himself. You don't owe him anything. Tell that loser to go illegally download it like he did before. Then call the cops on him and have him arrested for piracy
