Do pizza restaurants wash off their pizza cutters after each pizza they cut?

I was just curious after cutting a frozen pizza how some of the toppings stick to the pizza cutter and I was wondering if Restaurants will wipe them off.

pizza places use a giant knife and so a lot less stuff gets stuck, but we also wipe the knife clean and if someone asks about allergies we get a clean cutter

No. About every 10 to 15 pizzas when so much gunk has built up. Most pizza places use the wedge cutter or rocker cutter which looks like a half elongated moon but it cuts with a simple rocking motion. 3 cuts for 8 pieaces. It's just not possible to clean after every use. Pizza Hut could care less but if your at a fancier place with gluten free dough, then they should use a clean cutter but not necessarily. So yes, it is very likely that they cut meat pizzas and then a veggie pizza without cleaning. Most times they do scrap off the bulk every few pizzas

All the pizza joints in my area use a large curved knife to cut their pizzas not a cheap pizza cutter.

yes they would have to or customers who are allergic to something could get sick so if someone was allergic to fish or pepperoini and some got on their pizza they could get sick
