why is Cp greater than Cv they are heat capacities at constant pressure and at constant volume?

    See the source: In general the constant pressure heat capacity is larger that constant volume heat capacity for a gas because some of the heat that is added during a constant pressure process must go into work of expansion at a constant pressure rather than just all going into the internal thermal energy.
