The KJV was produced in 1611. It was a master work at that time, but since then we've discovered tons of better manuscripts, have learned better ways to study them, and have dramatically improved our grasp of Hebrew, Latin and Aramaic, such that there are a huge list of problems with the KJV, as grand as it was.

Speaking of Catholic, the equivalent Catholic Bible, produced at about the same time is the Duoai-Rheims Bible. You can get a copy of the Douai-Rheims, but it is very very seldom used in worship today. The Catholic Church has produced several better translations since then, but there is not one single Catholic Bible.

In this day and age, Catholics use whatever version of the bible they wish. If they wish to be very carefully following of their faith, they will pick a version which has what is called an imprimatur, meaning that some Roman Catholic authority has reviewed the document and found it to be in keeping with Catholic teaching.

A superb Catholic version would be the New American Bible. The New Revised Standard Version is of such scholarship and stature that it has earned the imprimatur. As I have observed before, no other version surpasses the NRSV, although many may approach or equal it.

Most KJV's have 66 books, A Catholic bible has 73. The 7 books that Catholic bibles have and most Protestant bibles don't are all in the OT. Most of the recent translations, both Catholic and Protestant, are better than the KJV because the more recent versions have the benefit of more information, for examples the Dead Sea scrolls and biblical archeology.

Which KJV Bibile? The original 1611 which has 80 books, or just about all KJVs you can get today, that only have 66 books?

The catholic canonized bible is the Latin Vulgate. now Duoay Rheims version.

In 1611, Fr Martin translated the DR and called Geneva version and from there sprung tons of protestants versions.

Stay with the real McCoy, Duoay Rheims.

The basic story is very similar but there are differences. I used to be a Catholic so I studies the Catholic one

Seems as though you see a spelling difference that others do not discern. To clear up your confusion it is spelled"Bible". Obviously, choosing between the two you list the Catholic one is the correct spelling of "Bible". I hope this clears up your confusion. God bless!
