Does the stoneware four loaf piece have to be oiled or floured before putting batter into?

I believe it depends on what type of batter you are using. If it has a lot of butter or oil in it I don't think you would have to add anything to it.
BUT! It wouldn't hurt anything to add a light coating of cooking spray to it!
And on a side note...when you are making a cake (with or without a mix) instead of using "flour" use some of your dry mix to coat your pan. It won't leave the white flour around the cake after baking!
