How to be an airline pilot in the US? Do I have to get US citizen?

    Either a US Citizen or a Permanent Resident Visa (I-551) also called "Green Card" -

    Why would you want to be pilot in the US...?

    There are plenty of excellent airlines in the rest of the world -

    Airlines which pay better and provide great benefits -

    Such as in the UAE = Emirates, Etihad or Qatar -

    And you do not need a special visa (or citizenship) for these -

    Becoming an airline Pilot in the United States is a lot of school and training.

    Yes, you have to be a US citizen. In order to be hired by an airline you must first get your FAA Commercial Pilots license with the appropriate qualifications, requiring you to be a US citizen.
