best year for the 1988-1997 silverado?

what is the best years to get for this truck, want to get a half ton truck, really like this body style.

    I prefer the 93 and up grilles, especially the GMC, with a billet insert and no emblem . I like the 95-96 dash,without the airbag.

    I had a lot of miles on my 1996. I loved that truck. Was really sorry to see it go.

    Any year should be fine. The important thing would be proof of ongoing matinence . If sketchy or no maintence records move on

    i tend to like the pre vortec models, they seem like they are barely broke in @250,000
