Is religion a protoscience ?

    If philosophy is a science, then so too is theology. If only the physical sciences are sciences then what is philosophy. Do biology, psychology and economics have the properties of science?

    There is no protoscience. The methods and principles of investigation are either scientific or not.

    religion is pretty much always anti-science. It is acceptance without any evidence.

    Religion was a way to explain natural events and phenomenon, before someone got curious enough to examine them in their own right.

    religious sense gave birth to art, philosophy and 'natural philosophy' or physical sciences among other sciences
