To get expunged you have to wait x amount of time after the conviction. You will have to go back to the original courtroom . The DA office can object for the expungement.

Now, in court , if offered plea deal remember to read the paperwork. You can not appeal any plea deal .

Read all paperwork in court and ask if you do not understand the paperwork to ask what does it mean.

You might be banned by the store ,in the future, that is what places like Kroger and Walmart do. Stores like that do not want convicted shoplifters back .You could be arrested for criminal trespassing if you do come on their property.

This might be in the conditions of probation or other court paperwork.

DO NOT miss a court date. Get a PD if you need one.

It depends in court what happens on the first court date.

You could be sentenced, the bond lower or raised higher, and a new date court date.

I have a friend who is a retail theft consultant and answers such questions privately for no fee. He says if you have no prior criminal history you will likely meet requirements for Diversion
