Blazer wont turn over, help!?

My 97 chevy blazer started up today after not being started in a long time, and it started up real nice and all. I went to go get gas and shut it off. after I shut it off I tried to start it back up and It wouldn t turn over, it makes a clicking noise. My battery is brand new and makes a good spark, everything turns on and works. It did this once before about 2 months ago at work and it finally started up after dinking around with turning it over. What could be casuing this? it still wont start up. if I leave it long enough it will turn over for about 2 seconds then do the clicking noise again. its currently 10 degrees here where im located.

Probably starter sticking .Get some metal rod or hammer that can reach starter and tap it few times and try to start .Try few times . If it starts it is time to refurbish starter .

replace the starter. sometimes you can whack the starter motor with a hammer, that is if the brushes in the starter motor are worn down. check the battery cable at the starter. it could be loose or dirty

Battery connections could be corroded or loose.

could also be a bad battery connection or the ground wire bolt to block loose or corroded.

or alternator not charging and you have a dead battery.
