  • Is my transmission vacuum module bad?

    I have a 1965 aluminum Powerglide transmission,

I put a vacuum tester on it and it will vacuum down (idk the reading say 25 for now) then it will very slowly loose the vacuum pressure.

Is it supposed to hold vacuum pressure or is it ok to loose vacuum pressure slowly?

    Thank You...

  • Small gas engine has gas leak near carburetor?

I just brought Steele 10,000 watt generator, I think it is a 17HP only has 8 hr.s on it and don’t know how long it sat but when I turn the gas on it just pours out by the carburetor and it looks like it is running out from the carburetor and this plastic looking base plate but that doesn’t make sense because the float should stop the gas before it gets that high I think so if it is the float or something then there would be a vacuum leak also then I think, Any one have a better idea then me? I don’t really know that much about carburetors but I do get lucky sometimes, any one have more experience with small engine carburetors? Can give me a tip or to before I take it apart? Thank You...

  • Make one transmitter run four receiver/controllers?

I need to get four of electronic exhaust cutouts ( https://www.ebay.com/itm/162664518133 ) to run on the same transmitter button... how can I do this?

I have two so far that I wired to one receiver and was surprised that it run bothe motors, do you know if that will hold up long running two motors on one receiver? Later on I will get two more if my experiment works and pretty sure that one receiver probably would not run four motors, so any ideas how I should get two motors for now and four motors later to run in sequence? Can I change the frequency in the receivers to match one transmitter and or can The transmitters fequencies be readjusted so I can have more than one transmitter on the same frequency, if that is not asking too much? Thank You...

  • Will a DC step down converter use energy with power on but appliance not on?

I have a step down DC converter from 48V to 12V to run lights on an electric bike, the bike has 48V and the lights are 12V. If the counter is hooked up to power (48V) does the converter use up electricity if the lights are not turned on?

  • Ebike wiring?

I have a 750W bafang midrive with 48V 12ah Panasonic battery, No wires for lights so I tapped into hot wire from battery to headlight (48V or 36V LED) the is an aux. white wire from the headlight so I run that wire to power source (motor) and also tee off the white wire before the power source to a knock down transformer to 12V to run tail lights (12V LED), I charged battery to full and drove bike until fully discharged and it worked wonderfully, then I charged battery to full again but now at half charge the motor will start stop start stop until I charge battery to full again then at half charge it starts stops starts stops.

The distributor showed me picture of a motor that has separate wire for lights (6V) and they think it is my lights causing the problem but that is a little confusing to me because it all worked before? I wonder if the knock down transformer sends back voltage and confuses the controller???

Anyone have any idea??? Would installing diodes help??? Thank You...

  • 2014 Tahoe sometimes does not crank over,?

Once in a while when it doesn't want to crank over it starts to crank over with ignition in start position but just clicks then nothing and then nothing at all with every tempt to start until ignition is turned all the way off and retry then goes back to normal but will still act up once in a while, have any idea what is causing it or what I may try to get it started in case it decides to not start permenately and I end up stranded some where? I have noticed remote start did not start it a couple of times I was standing next to it and pushed remote start and it clicked and did not start, the battery is good. I hope I do not have to wait until it goes out permenately before I can figure out what is going out, maybe someone has experienced this early warning...? Thank You...

  • What would happen to step down converter DC/DC 48V 12AH to 12V 5A if 48V to in and out ports?

I have a 48V tail light for an electric bicycle and want to see if I can wire it to be brake light as well as running tail light at night so would it work to run 48V to in port of step down converter to 12V out to power tail light would be dim until press brake with switch would power the tail light full 48V power when brakes applied but would also run 48V in the out port and the in port of the converter at the same time; what would that do? Would that damage anything?

  • How to wire lights electric bicycle?

I have a Bafang 8fun mid drive 750W 48V motor and I believe a 48V 12ah battery and I am in the process of putting lights on it, I already have a 48V headlight IDK how many amps it draws or if I should wire it direct to battery power and to motor or if I should place fuses? https://www.ebay.com/itm/232133387411

Then I want to get these 12V lights but they can not tell me the amps they draw https://www.ebay.com/itm/201533140124 and this one https://www.ebay.com/itm/281489015712

Can you give me an idea what converter(s) 48V to 12V DC/DC and how many amps? Where if I need fuses and or if everything to get her would be too much for the battery? How many flashers will I need? Can I run a ground through the frame of the bicycle?
