Does upgrading the software version solve the battery problem?

I have iPhone 4S since June 2012... I use it to playe games since october 2012 and become more active during 2013 and whole 2014.... I usually use it until the battry is below 20% or 10% and most of the even until 0... i even use it while charging because I heard people has no problem in their phone when they use it while charging.. And some say they do it all the time and still no problem at all... But now what happen when I charge it to full 100% and leave house 5 am and go home at 18:30 the battery is less than 10% and there is a time when I check it and has no more battery at all.. 0 %...

Your battery is dying. They degrade a tad with every charge cycle.

Lithium ion batteries only have so many charge cycles. Every time you charge it, then drain it, that is a charge cycle. The average life of the battery is 2 years unless you keep it on the charger to prevent it from running down. The fewer charge cycles, the longer the battery will last.

You will have to replace the battery or the phone. There are some people that can replace it. There are also kits you can buy to change it yourself.

The battery runs on cycles. It has about 1000 cycles before it needs replaced, so you might need to replace it.

Make a backup, restore and update your iOS, and if that doesn't fix the problem - then it's most likely the battery.

    Nop.

    The battery failed.
