Depends on your venus and mars signs for example if aqua has earth or water venus /mars/moon/ mercury /ascendant then they might be happy with earth and water signs (if they have trine sextile or conjunct venus mars etc) for example my dad is Taurus and his gf is aqua but he has gem mars and mercury and Venus and she has Aries and gem venus etc

Sun/mars/venus /moon /mercury in aqua don't go well with Taurus,Scorpio,cancer,pisces,virgo,cappy and can go really bad with leo (usually doesn't) in the case of earth signs because they are too heavy and usually possessive in the case of water they are too emotional and needy (and possessive in the case of Scorpio) for Aquarius so I'd go for fire and air signs
