Could the problem with the sea level rising be fixed using the Qattara depression?
This is a large area that is below sea level in the desert in Egypt. If there was a large pipe from the Mediterranian sea to this place, sea water would flow thru it. This water comes from the worlds oceans.
If this new sea becomes full, water will evaporate which will crete more space.
My guess is yes, but maybe the amount removed may not be enough amount

It bis too too small. The Caspian Sea littoral in its west in Kazakhstan & Russia, some 80 feet below mean sea level, might partially be the solution. An ideal solution would be the size of Greenland & Antarctica (as replacement if it is 1 km deep) that would be as big as South America. Global problems need to have solutions too on Global scale.

That is a current project in planning (only the Egyptian "troubles" have got the investors out.
It has been thought about for generating Hydro-Electric power and increasing rainfall in the region.
Doable but it needs big money to start it.
It would produce a tiny drop in sea levels - very very tiny/

Water is evaporating from the oceans all the time. Just moving the water around is not going to make it evaporate any quicker. And when the air is loaded with water vapour, what is going to happen to it ? Oh, yes, just a minute . . . .

Compared to the size of the ice caps that are in danger of melting, that depression is tiny.
