Inherited high cholesterol?
What can be used if diet and exercise don't work. I have tried statins however there are too many side effects and not suitable for me.

Have you had Lp(a) checked? If too high, diet and lifestyle don't help much. Other supportive measures include niacin and fish oil. Lots of good research on niacin but sometimes causes flushing/itching, which is harmless but annoying. Good luck!

Most likely, yes...just because the cholesterol goes down doesn't mean you should stop taking the pill! It's DOING ITS JOB by lowering the cholesterol so being inherited, you'll probably have to be on it for the rest of your life.

see an hio method chiropractor to ensure full innervation to the liver and all else. btw, many times they'll tell you it's high when it isn't.
