Solving trig ratios?

cos(x)= -(1/8) and between pi and 3pi/2

using pythagorean theorem I get

adj=1

opp=sqrt(65)

hyp=8

sin(x)= -(sqrt(65)/8)

tan(x)= sqrt(65)/1

cot(x)= 1/sqrt(65)

sec(x)=-(8/1)

csc(x)=-(8/sqrt(65))

Although the program says these are wrong except for sec(x).

I'm not sure if I messed up the process or just the negatives. Since its in the bottom left corner I thought everything would be negative except for tan and cot.

Thanks for the help

    Oh I see, the opposite side wouldn't be sqrt(65),

    it would be sqrt(64 - 1) = sqrt(63).

    You just used the Pythagorean theorem the wrong way :P.
