    yeah adding TLS 1.0 under Security TAB in Internet Explorer Options worked for me too. I think Yahoo just changed something at their end. My wife's connection used to work with no problems till a couple of days ago. No wonder why we are more and more inclined to move to Google

    Same problem here. I even uninstalled and then downloaded a previous version of Messenger. I haven't tried to login with iPad yet. Does anyone from Yahoo monitor this page?

    Same problem here, with all my Windows-based PC's. I can log into Yahoo Messenger via my iPad though.

    Same problem for me, started about a week ago, getting worse. My pc is very clean to, not installed anything new for ages and nothing else has changed.

    I am also getting same error. I could able to connect the internet, can able to check emails with the same ID but not able to log in into messenger. Tried with the latest version too.. still problem persist. Can we have a quick resolution on this?

    Adding the TLS 1.0 under internet option/advanced/security worked for me. The yahoo help page is absolutely useless for this issue

    yeah same problem here on 11.0 and if i try to dl the new version of messenger the connection failed. What OS are y'all running?
