What cpu and motherboard should I upgrade in order to run a GTX 970?

Ok so I just bought a new gtx 970 but it seems that I will get bottlenecking with the current cpu I have. Here are my current specs and I need help on deciding what cpu and motherboard I should get. As far as budget goes, under 200 would be nice. Nothing too crazy.

AMD Phenom II X4 965 3.4 GHz

ASUS M4A88TD-V EVO/USB3 Motherboard (AM3 Socket)

8 GB DDR3 RAM

TX 650 PSU

Go for an AM3+ board and an FX-8350 CPU. You can use the same RAM etc.

That's around twice the capability of your existing CPU - info here:

Honestly a motherboard and cpu under $200 would not be much better for instance a fx series cpu would still bottleneck a gtx970. If you can save up a bit more an i5 4690 would be the best but you may be able to find a i5 4440 and a cheap motherboard for under $200
