Can i get my septum pierced at an 18 or 20g?

i don't want to have a thick ring!

    Maybe, MAYBE 18g, but definitely not 20g. It's gonna be up to the piercer really.

    16g and 14g are pretty standard sizes. 16g is quite dainty. The main problem is you'll have a much smaller selection of quality septum jewelry at 18g. I'd really just suggest going with 16g. The difference is pretty small.

    Why you generly can do bellow a 16 g is the cookie cutter effect, which is alot more prevelent with a lip but has some effect in other piercings

    A thiner gauge with movement will slice its way out of piercings,

    You pierce probly can do a 18, but at that size you wont even notice that you have a piercing.... defently tiny

    Yes you can, it's not common though but I'm 100% sure a good piercer has 18g needles on them.
