Makeup help!?
I bought a darker shade of face powder to contour with, but the shade is wayyyy to dark. It looks horrible. Is there a way to make it lighter or to put on over it to lighten it?

If you apply it lightly and blend it out really well, it should come out about the right shade. Make sure to use the appropriate blending utensil also. Another way is by applying a bit of a lighter shaded powder over it to add contrast.
Next time you go to buy a shade try to test it on the back of your hand first so you get EXACTLY what you want.

Coat your powder brush with the dark powder first, then lightly swish the brush onto a lighter shade powder. Mix them on the brush before putting it on your face. It will look more natural that way.

If the shade is too dark, don't put too much on, and make sure to blend it in really well. You can always just apply a lighter powder to your entire face after your make up routine. Baby powder works really well, and it lightens things up a bit.

Mix with a lighter power before applying it, and then apply it with a light hand to tone down the intensoty of the colour. :)
