I live in the Philly, PA area. I love spending time with my family and friends, and sharing and gaining knowledge. I would one day like to be my own boss. I own a baby shower and an engagement website, and 1 baby shower blog, and I hope to start another website in the near future. Thanks for checking out my profile! http://www.best-baby-shower-planning-guide.com http://www.plan-a-baby-shower.blogspot.com http://www.celebrate-your-engagement.com

  • Christmas wedding invitation wording ideas?

We're thinking about having a small private ceremony on Christmas night. Just us and the immediate family. The ceremony would not be until evening since a few of my sisters have kids, and I don't want to impose on their Christmas morning. I need help with invite wording. I want it to be cute and holiday-ish. Any ideas would be great! Thank you.

  • step by step guide to starting in baking business in PA?

I have been doing a lot of research on running a small side cookie business from home. I've been on the state's website mostly (Pennsylvania), and on sba.gov. I feel like I need a complete list of everything I have to do to get going. And, in what order should I do them. I know I need to register a DBA, I would like to trademark the logo/name, and get registered with PA dept of Agriculture and pass inspection. Do I also need a tax ID number? I will not have any employees, just me. Thanks.

  • How to get rid of aftertaste for red velvet cake?

Is there any ingredient that would offset whatever gives red velvet cake that typical aftertaste? I'm guessing it's the food coloring. I guess I can add more cocoa to offset it, but I want the batter to remain red.

  • Why do people misuse the wedding forum?

I like browsing the wedding forum to get ideas for my wedding, and to contribute ideas. But a lot of these questions have nothing to do with planning weddings. If you want to know what you should do about your fiancé cheating, or not getting along with your future in laws, if you are questioning whether you should be getting married at all, then post your questions in the "relationships" section, not here. This section should be reserved for questions about planning a wedding. I know this is kind of contradictive, I just wanted to share my thoughts.

  • What's a creative alternative for "reception to follow"?

I want to say something other than the standard "reception to follow" or "dinner and dancing to follow". My save the dates, invites and response cards are pretty informal.

  • Do you ever take your engagement ring off?

I got an engagement ring on Christmas day, so it's only been a few days that I've been wearing it. This morning I noticed my stone is already loose in the setting, I think it happened when I dropped it on the bathroom floor yesterday. So far, I've been taking my ring off to shower, cook when I'm dealing with stuff like raw meat, or when I'm doing my hair. I have to admit I've also been touching it and rubbing the center stone like crazy. Whenever I wash my hands, I'll wipe the ring down too.

Should I just leave it on all the time except to clean it, to prevent it from dropping? Was it me dropping the ring that caused the stone to become loose or could it have been something else? I'm going to get the prongs tightened today, but I want to prevent this from happening again. Thanks.

  • how do you prevent your first child from getting jealous when your second child is born?

  • Can a parent put himself into the child support system?

This is in relation to my other question here:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=An7WU...

Can a parent ask the courts to establish his child support payments through the courts so that he will not have to come in contact with the child's mother? For now, he just gives her money when she needs it, but not through the courts.

  • Where can I find info about voluntary termination of parental rights in PA?

I can't find anything on the state's website, unless I'm overlooking it. My cousin is thinking about terminating his rights because of the child's mother's actions. She makes it very difficult for him to see the child, she teaches the child to call other men "daddy", according to the child, the mother will talk to her friends, current boyfriends about how much of a deadbeat my cousin is in front of the child. And when she is in a relationship with a man that seems to provide for both her and the child, she wants the child to have nothing to do with my cousin. But when her relationships dont work out and she finds herself needing help with the child, then she threatens to take my cousin to court for support. They do not have a court agreement for child support, he just gives her money when she asks for it. And on rare occasions when he gets to keep the child on weekends, he'll take her shopping for clothes, shoes, etc. Every time he tries to talk to her about it, she won't answer the phone or return phone calls. She will only communicate with him via text messages! Her immature actions are now starting to rub off on the child.

Where can I find info that will tell us if he has grounds to terminate his rights? He's been dealing with this for about 8 years now.

  • What should the bride and groom wear to a post-wedding reception?

If we are getting married in a private ceremony, and having a newlywed celebration after we return from our honeymoon, what should we wear? It will probably be a very informal barbque with family and friends, but I want us to stand out a little since we are the guests of honor. I don't want us to be in formal wear since it's a barbque though. I could really use some suggestions. Thanks.
