Can I remove touchwiz, for stock android?

Is it possible to turn my samsung galaxy tab 3 touchwiz into stock android? I heard I might be able to through rooting, is that true? and how? Also if it is possible are there any side effects on the performance of my tab 3?

    Yes, but if you bought your phone via operator (like T-mobile etc.) then you won't be able to do so.

    But if you didn't, then install a "Custom ROM" to your phone. There are plenty of tutorials on YouTube on how to do it.
