"Supply Side economics" (often called "trickle down economics" by Reagan's political opponents); viz. decreasing the marginal tax rates will increase tax revenues. ... During the primary fight that Reagan had with Bush, Bush characterized it as "voodoo economics" ... The economics proved correct and led to the longest period of growth in American history but has been rejected by subsequent Democrat Congresses and administrations who prefered to "tax and spend" as specified in Keynesian economics.
