What is the difference between Namakura Ryu and Mugai Ryu? I studay MJER Iaido and would like to know which one is more authentic.?

Mugai is Iaido, Namakura is batto. Most batto styles are more recent and is more of a cutting art. Where as iaido is more of a the art of how to draw the sword.
They are both authentic styles. I dont think one is more authentic then the other. Mugai is the older style going back to some were in the 1600's where as Namakura was created around 1925 or so. But also most batto schools were started around the early 1900's
