why girls can and boys cannot?

Girls can call another girl 'sweetheart', 'dear', 'darling', 'my sweet'....

but when boys call another boy likewise, its offesive or considered gay thing or girlish thing.

(and most guys do not like it, not sure about it)

    Guys can do it. But only the gay ones do. Its just how it is.

    Generally most males are more homophobic than most females.
