Does anyone have any information about staying at a spice plantation or on a house boat in Kerala, India?

I will be there in about two weeks and don't have any plans yet. I'm an American travelling in India and love it!

Two weeks is a pretty long to confine your travel to one place. While you may spend a day and night in the houseboat (one night is more than enough since the houseboats are moored in the evening and return to the jetty in the morning and there is very little to see at night except for the bright stars), and travel to Fort Cochin (a heritage precinct with India's first synagogue, Vasco da Gama's burial place, Dutch Palace, the Chinese fishing nets, etc.), Munnar (a hill station), Thekkadi ( a wildlife sanctuary), etc. which are not too distant from each other. It is prudent to book everything in advance or if you are adventurous, you can travel alone (will be much cheaper) or you can stay in a hotel and the reception will arrange everything for you.
