Who is worse in R/S, Atheists or Christians?

I have read countless points from both sides and while I am Christian I find the Christians tend to antagonize a bit more. I find a Christian overstep what proof is while atheist do not give enough thought to the evidence shown. Any opinions?

Also my answers are open and can be read by anyone. This question is pure curiosity and nothing more.

Ignore all the badmouthing atheists giving us a bad name. I am an atheist myself. I completely respect your beliefs, but we simply acknowledge that religion does not have any evidence to be supported. That is why it is referred to as "faith".

If you look at that very word in a dictionary, here is the definition:

"strong belief in God or in the doctrines of a religion, based on spiritual apprehension rather than proof." We merely believe what we have evidence for. And evolution has enough evidence to be supported.

To me.. the main difference between Atheists and Christians is where we suspend the need for evidence.. Even in everyday life most Christians will require evidence to believe the claims for anything from evolution to the big bang to bigfoot.. but for some reason when it comes to religion the evidence required becomes much less..

I can understand personal experience to count for something.. But I can tell you from my personal experience. I have had things happen that I can't explain.. and for me.. they will remain unexplained until I have a solid reason to believe in a particular reason it happens.. that's it.. we just require solid reason and evidence for everything.. We are not going to believe in anything just because it feels good or that seems like a good explanation..

"while atheist do not give enough thought to the evidence shown"

I'm sorry, but no-one has shown me any evidence for the existence of any of the many thousands of gods. I consider every attempt to provide evidence but no evidence has been forthcoming yet. Do you have any?

    > atheist do not give enough thought to the evidence shown.

The amount of thought I give to xtian evidence is relative to the amount that's given.

So, naturally, I don't give it much thought.

"atheist do not give enough thought to the evidence shown."?

Well, first off, "Feelings" are not evidence. Anecdotes are not evidence. Hallucinations are not evidence. Creation-Wiki Links are not evidence.

I've never seen anything that a theist has produced that they claim to be "Evidence" that isn't easily shown to be incorrect, a lie, or not actually "Evidence".

"There's plenty of evidence that Jesus existed!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"We know that the Jewish slaves built the pyramids!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"No one can explain the Shroud of Turin!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"Primitive people couldn't have built such grand structures without Alien help!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"Vaccinations are PROVEN to cause autism!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"I have fibromialgia! How DARE you say it has anything to do with my massive childhood trauma!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"I have blue fibers growing out of my skin! I have morgelons disease caused by ALIENS and HAARP!" ◄- Inaccurate.

    "Those aren't contrails! They're CHEMTRAILS!" ◄- Inaccurate.

"See the way the clouds are wavy? That's the government sending EM Waves into the ionosphere! ◄- Inaccurate.

Whatever your cult-like beliefs or magical thinking, it's on YOU to fulfill the burden of proof and none of these people can do it!

Making claims that are easily contradicted, based on grossly outdated information, or based on willful ignorance isn't the people that doubt you's problem.

Truth be told I can't say. It's hard to tell how many of the people here are legitimate or not due to Poe's law (A parody of extremism is indistinguishable from genuine extremism).

Can I tell you how refreshing it is to see a Christian acknowledging that the Christians here can overstep? Mostly they deny it.

'...while atheist do not give enough thought to the evidence shown. Any opinions?'

Yeah, here's one. To which 'evidence' are you referring?

Depends on the people themselves, some Christians are kinda nutty in their ways but then atheists can be fanatics too....

The Atheists are perfectly reasonable most of the time. The christians are perfectly reasonable very seldomly.
