    y = x² - 6x +16

    dy/dx = 2x - 6

    2x - 6 = 0, so x = 3 is a minimum.

    At x = 3, y = 7.

    y = 2 (x +1)² + 7 = 2x² + 4x + 9

    dy/dx = 4x + 4

    4x + 4 = 0, so x = -1 is a minimum

    At x = -1, y = 7, which is the same as above.

    So the answer is (A).
