In fact, ad agencies depend on the effectiveness of manipulation and work to appeal to our confirmation bias so we can't tell. Meanwhile, Tide gets your clothes virtually spot free.

Hi Steve (Wilson) and Jane (Akre). I brought you into my office to tell you we need to "edit" your Monsanto hormone/GMO story. This is a well researched, impeccable report exposing the serious dangers but we need to completely alter it. Monsanto spends hundreds of millions per year on advertising, much of it with us! But hey, thanks! My family really needs to know this.

I stopped watching TV altogether due to the 24 hour cable news channels and reality TV just over 5 years ago.
BBC, CBC1 and Al Jazeera do a much better job.

I am not manipulated by any news source, I watch Fox, CNN, and some local channels, I read newspapers and I check all the reports on Yahoo home page, based upon all those I make my own decisions.

I hang out at brietbart.com and watch Fox news all day, but I"m completely not right wing biased at all..... Obama is a socialist, kenyan muslim anti christ. He hates this country.
