Jerky/laggy mouse clicker/pointer problems?

Hi,

I am currently using the touchpad on my HP laptop, all of a sudden my mouse pointer thingy suddenly becomes jerky for a few seconds, and then returns back to normal it then happens again every minuet or so.

Does anyone know how I can solve this problem??

p.s:

My laptop is very new, I have only had it for about a month.

Update:

Just extra information, the movement of the arrow suddenly slows down, sometimes freezes for a second and again goes laggy/jerky

    Try updating your touchpad drivers

    If that doesn't work, then you should write down your system specifications. And by the way, is it first time you encountered this issue?
