How to get the degrees of freedom, chi square?
I don't understand how u calculate the degrees of freedom once u get ur total number from the chi square.

Don't panic! Even though it may sound like you need to conduct a scary mathematical analysis to compute the degrees of freedom in an experiment, all you actually need to do is subtract 1 from the total number of values.
For example, if you conducted an experiment using 20 test subjects (denoted n = 20), the degrees of freedom would be 20 - 1 = 19.
