    Moral of the story, no problem, god killed your wife? Here's a new, better one. After all, family is easily replaced...right?

    Job's story has been read over and over in church, and at home, but for what I gather from people's questions, is that not many realize the reason behind Job's story? Some may say, because God wanted to prove that Job was loyal, and that is true too, but there is more to it that meets the eye.

    If you remember that at the beginning of the story, and I'll quote the verse here;

    Job 1:8

    And the Lord said into Satan, Has thou considerer my servant Job, that there is none like him in the earth, a perfect and upright man, one that fears God, and eschewed evil?

    As most people say, to prove that Job was an upright man, and feared God. So, basically the original invitation to this event, was brought up by God, not satan, but why did God do that?

    Besides proving to satan, that God is all powerful, and even the dust bows down to him, why couldn't he (Lucifer) do the same as Job, when Lucifer was made with more excellency and celestial body, compared to dust, where man was formed. Yes, God glorified himself by the showing that even the smallest fraction of life, glorifies his name, but Lucifer reveled against God, and though he could do better than the one who created him, but God said, NO. I will give no other my glory.

    This was a lesson for satan, and for humanity as well. God must be glorified for he is the creator of all things, visible and invisible, God did it all.

    And to God be the Glory.

    Satan moved God. Job 2:3 against Job.If Satan can moved the hand of God, what are we doing? Satan realized that he had to go to God for permission. Most time we don't give God a second thought. Satan comes night and day to bring accusation against the breathen and we never. If Satan realized that he has to go to the throne of God why don't we realized that? I think that believers in Christ can moved the hand of God, but we don't. And we wonder why Satan get away with so much.

    Satan raised issues in front all--- he said--no one would serve God unless God was protecting them and giving them everything( God was doing that up till that point) so the issue must be resolved, we can prove satan wrong--few have though.

    Issues were raised against God in Eden as well.

    Fooled by satan? Did you read the story...try re-reading it. Perhaps pray first, so you get the full understanding of what's really going on this time.

    Nobody 'fools' God. He has His reasons for everything. Don't be silly.

    There was no family murdered. The book of Job is didactic poetry, a teaching epic.

    You must not have read the Holy Bible version. It sounds nothing like that.
