My dog is bleeding a week after mating is this normal?

In most cases, during the third week of a season (and she will still be in season, for the full 21+ days so keep her safe) the discharge simply gradually stops until by around day 21, it's all over (as would be the case, mated or not). Only once, after being mated, did one of mine come back with a blood-coloured discharge through the final week after two good matings, on days 11 and 13. I was concerned she'd not taken (she was otherwise well) but after an uneventful pregnancy she had a super litter of 9 puppies, probably the best we ever bred ..... so good we kept 3 and they came home with 4 others to the UK when we returned from Canada, one becoming a UK Champ.
ps. Looking at your other questions, what exactly are you doing? Puppy/kitten farming?

Yes! When did she start her heat? And how long after the start of the heat did you allow the mating? Was this the first breeding? How old? Many factors to consider. If she is excessively bleeding off to the vet.

Yes. The heat cycle lasts for 3 weeks/21 days, whether the b*tch has been bred or not. As I've told you before, you should not be breeding dogs. You are clueless.

another clueless backyard breeder. that has not done any research on breeding dogs in books or on the net ...asking this means you are not in contact with a vet

She's still in heat. You have another pregnant dog, a cat that just had kittens and you're breeding ANOTHER dog? WTF???
