Can I spray Apple Cider Vinegar into my dog's ears?

My dog is terrified of having his ears cleaned. I tried the syringe with half ACV and water, and he bit me. I was wondering if spraying the solution with a spray bottle would do the trick. He also will not let me massage his ears. I was told by the people at Petsmart that it was a yeast infection. Please help!

ugh I had the same issue with my dog. You could try putting a muzzle on him...for the biting...but you don't have to get that syringe thing all the way into his ears like the vet does. I was barely able to get it into his ears and he usually shook and most of it ended up falling out...but apparently enough got in there because his infection healed up.

So just try to get the stuff as much in his ears as you can...even if most of it falls out, if you follow the instructions on the bottle he should be fine and will heal up.

***don't know about the apple cider vinegar thing...I think the stuff they give you is just vinegar and water, but you should ask your vet what the proportions are of it. I would not just put straight vinegar into your dog's ear.

Why would you even want to? Leave the ears alone, unless the vet prescribes cleaning and/or medication. No one even a vet can diagnose/treat your dog without examining it, least of all YA, take it to a vet.

"people at Petsmart that it was a yeast infection" They aren't vets just like no one on here is a vet.

I don't clean my dogs ears ever, I look in there twice a year when I bathe them (spring/fall) and wipe them out only if needed.

Yeast infections require a special prescription medication to get rid of them. There are new ways to treat ears that don't need you to put stuff in the ears every day. Be sure to tell your vet that the dog really HATES having his ears messed with and may bite.

Take him to the vet for PROPER diagnosis and treatment. Then find a trainer and learn the BASICS of proper care and handling - there is no reason that any pet owner shouldn't be able to handle their dog and provide basic medical care.

If you weren't so busy insulting other members, your tiny brain would have had a chance to work out that Petsmart staff are not veterinarians.

NO! That is one of the most idiotic things I've ever heard. Take it to the vet, they actually know what they are doing.
