How can I study animals at my current age?

I am going to have a career involving animals, I'm only 14 though so I have a fair way to go, I think it would be a good idea to get a head start. So how can I study animals and learn more about them are there any free zoology courses? anything of that type etc.

Same age, same career dream. I live near a nature preserve and I'm gonna sign up for helping out at a animal shelter. I also read books about animals such as (auto)biographies and specific animal books. Now that there is the internet, you could pretty much learn anything you want. You could try hosting a animal club at your school (sounds kinda stupid but you never know, you may find something cool) Another suggestion is going to pet stores and looking at their animals/starting off with working at a petstore (thats what I'm gonna do) because I've heard you learn a lot about animals & what kinds of people are looking for those animals, ect. from pet stores. If you don't already, look at biology courses in high school. Here in texas, we have a biology thing were i can take classes based off of what career I'm looking at, so next year i'm gonna take a biomedical science class. Good luck! Email me at lion.scorpion23@gmail.com if you want to and we can talk about animals! :)

You can probably find some nature courses with your local park systems. If you live close to a zoo or aquarium I do not know any that do not have volunteer programs for kids.
