Pokemon Omega Ruby question?

There is only one save slot, it's kind of a staple of pokemon (if a silly one), but it is possible to start a new game.

"To delete the current file (so that you may start and save a new game), hold Up, B, and X as the game starts up from the Home Menu. Directions will then appear on-screen."

Though I doubt you want to delete your hard earned progress it's there if you decide to go through with it.

All official Pokemon games, regardless of what it is (may or may not include the Game Cube spin-offs) are limited to only one save file per game. Unofficial games like PokeMMO have multiple character slots on one account. Rom hacks are edits of official Pokemon games, and also follow the one-save rule (emulators on the other hand, let you have multiple save states, which aren't exactly save files, though you can archive save files and load them directly, though it may be tedious in the long run).

One. Your friends will need their own copy of the game to enjoy it fully.

If you plan on outright shelving the game for a bit, you can use Pokemon Bank to store your Pokemon.

There isn't a 2nd save slot. I even tried deleting my original and it just doesn't work for some reason.
