Do I need Mathematics to study Psychology?

I'm currently in the 11th grade and universities need my Grade 11 records in order to consider accepting me. So my subjects are Maths, Physics, Biology, Accounting, English, Afrikaans and Life Orientation. I dearly wish to study Psychology but the universities in my country(South Africa) only require a 60% in English and 65% overall average. Which I have no problem with, though I do want to apply for International scholarships in Canada and the UK but when I checked the requirements, some require Maths as well. Now I really suck at Mathematics and I would do anything to go down to Mathematical Literacy, it's a hundred times easier but I wouldn't do it if it meant I couldn't apply to study abroad...so I'm wondering, does Psychology actually require Maths? If so, why do the universities here not need it?
