This is a serious question, and I know not all Catholics are like this but the vast majority are.

In this day and age, they practice oppression against homosexuals (barring them basic human rights such as the right to marry and express affection) and woman (barring them the right to use abortion in their own body and preventing them even from joining the clergy.)

In the 1500s, the church practiced corrupt acts of selling people "tickets into heaven."via indulgences (which spawned the Protestant and Lutheran churches)

I want something that is extremely reliable and easy to use. I'm a male with a fairly average build, so I'm not sure what kind of gun I could realistically "handle" in a life-death situation. I do intend to visit a range once just to learn how the gun works and develop some kind of aiming ability. Can somebody who is more experienced with firearms provide a recommendation? Thanks you.

I mean, some christians really are oppressed, the ones who are open-minded and accepting of others yet are treated badly for their religion. I'm talking about the christians who oppress gay people and act surprised when people treat them like sh*t because they are sick and tired of their nonsense. I fine with any religion people are from, as long as that religion doesn't prompt people to do bad things and be hateful towards others.

I never liked my 22 year old sister's boyfriend. No, it isn't for petulant reasons either; he has a variety of very serious personal problems.

He is 19. He doesn't have a job (never has held one for more than a week or two), a car, and he graduated from a phony online "high school." ( It was an absolute joke; he never did anything and he had my sister and one of his friends complete an entire semester's worth of work in a few hours. ) It's tantamount to being a dropout. He wears raggedy clothing and keeps long hair intentionally to put out this pretentious "rough" aura.

That's a pretty average loser, but it gets worse, MUCH worse

He has a drug problem; he uses HEROIN. ( Nah, not something relatively minor like weed or booze, full blown heroin. ) He says he only uses it occasionally.

Yeah. F*cking. Right.

His own mother ( a very sweet and reasonable lady by the way ) ousted him and doesn't welcome him in her own home anymore. Why? He verbally abused her regularly for the pain medicine she's on due to back surgery. I'm sorry, but he's full of sh*t if he thinks I believe he doesn't have a serious problem when he harassed his own mother for pills to the point of kicking him out.

On top of that, he verbally abuses my sister to the point of crying once or twice a week. He is also EXTREMELY manipulative; he asked my sister for all her passwords to email and facebook and constantly checks if she visits other men.

Now they're engaged.

What do I do?

I have no problems with the fact that they don't believe in any sort of god or the kind of political stances they take on abortion or drugs or whatever. What really annoys me is that some of them just won't shut up about how they are atheist and they chide everyone who doesn't agree with them. Obviously, this also occurs with religious people, but they actually have beliefs to be passionate about. These vocal atheists are passionate about not believing anything. It's like being passionate about NOT being an art enthusiast, home cook, or whatever. How can you be passionate about nothing? It's silly and makes them look ostentatious and pretentious.

They have some repulsive behaviors and not much in the way of social status, but that really seems to be the extent of their apparent flaws. Beyond that, you have to admire some of their personal characteristics, especially the husband that is holding fast to a physically and mentally unimpressive wife, an omnidirectional aura of acceptance as demonstrated by their treatment of their homosexual uncle, and a genuine family bond reminiscent of 90s family sitcoms but in a much less superficial and more genuine light.

They have access to ALL of their abilities. They start a quarter mile apart from each other. It is a fight to the DEATH, but they still have their personalities and morals. Who wins?
