Which antivirus scanning technology detects suspicious file and application attributes?
I once thought the antivirus scanning technology that detects suspicious attributes, e.g. rootkit technology, was definitions. However, I was wrong. Definitions is simply a synonym for signatures. Which antivirus scanning technology detects suspicious file and application attributes? (Would I be the first to invent an antivirus scanner that detects suspicious attributes?)
As always, I am looking into the designs of antivirus scanning technologies and how I could design a better antivirus scanning technology. I am not looking to clean my computer from potentially unwanted programs, potentially unwanted modifications, adware, junkware, etc (I already did).

your looking for a 'PUP' scanner, potentially unwanted program. or a 'PUM' scanner, potentially unwanted modifications.
Antivirus scanners also don't find spyware/malware.
try this:
Malwarebytes
in the custom scan it has a PUP and PUM scanner.
