PDSA UK help?
My dog is registered at the pdsa veterinary clinic but because I got her from my friend she is still registered under my friends name and address. My friend says if she switches her over to my name and address I will have to wait 6 months to be seen. Can they legally do this? My dog has a problem with her jaw locking and I'm worried about her.

Either your friend is on benefits and should take her in or you qualify as well and then you can take her in.
If you are on benefits and couldn't afford a dog then you shouldn't have taken her anyway. The PDSA is for people who have fallen on hard times since getting a dog. Not voluntarily got one and expect the public to pay for the veterinary costs.

The PDSA are an animal charities and only treat animals whos owners are on benefits or very low income. If you qualify there isn't a wait time.

I'm sure there's more than one vet clinic in your area. Find another and go there. I've never heard of having to wait 6 mths. for a vet appointment. That is ridiculous!

You can get a bill of sale for the dog and change any and all info yourself.
Regardless, if your dog has a health issue, take the dog in. The worst they will do is try to contact the original owner who in turn will tell them you now own the dog.
I am confident your friend is full of something...and it is not nice smelling.
I would be very suspicious of your friend...get a bill of sale immediately.
Imagine paying a vet for care and your friend saying the dog is theirs now after a change of heart.
