  • PDSA UK help?

My dog is registered at the pdsa veterinary clinic but because I got her from my friend she is still registered under my friends name and address. My friend says if she switches her over to my name and address I will have to wait 6 months to be seen. Can they legally do this? My dog has a problem with her jaw locking and I'm worried about her.

  • Possible hernia?

8 months ago I saw my gp as I had been feeling ill and she noticed I have a swollen stomach. She had a look and said I have a hernia, and she would send for me a scan. I always thought my swollen stomach was due to the pregnancy with my son and the emergency c-section I had. Anyway, I called them up on it not long ago and was told I had missed my January scan as the letter had been sent to the wrong address and that I would be put at the back of the waiting list again (not exactly fair seeing as that's their fault and not mine). However, I'm now unsure. The doctor said the hernia was likely caused by my hard labour (they left me pushing for hours and both me and my son nearly died so we're rushed for the emergency section). That was almost 4 years ago and since then I have been pregnant theee times, miscarried every time but was scanned with the last 2 pregnancies. Wouldn't they have noticed a hernia then and said something? Scans were both external and internal. Thanks in advance :)

  • Landlady saying to get rid of kittens?

My friend has 2 kittens in a rented house. She has been allowed pets from the start but suddenly her landlady is saying she has 2 weeks to get rid of the kittens, claiming they smell of cat (obviously) and that she's allergic to them (no, she doesn't live there). Where does my friend stand with this? UK. Thanks :)

I've got an iPhone 5c and it had a previous user. Is there any way to change the iCloud address without losing any data? Whenever I iMessage someone it comes up with my friends address and I don't want to be called John (surname) as I am a 24 year old woman haha!

  • Help understanding what he means?

Me and my husband get paid a monthly allowance from private income via a solicitor. Our monthly allowance is usually around £1000 and he said 'There is now £4900 remaining in the account. I will send payment to you next week which is the balance above, less the monthly allowance.' What does he mean by that? He is sending the whole amount? Just the monthly allowance? Or £3900 as that would be the above amount less the monthly allowance? Feeling so confused! He also said in his previous email that his next payment to us would be the last. Thanks in advance!

  • 2 songs from years ago?

There are 2 songs I can faintly remember listening to in my teens. I think they were late 90s or early 00s. The first is by a guy and it's him catching his girlfriend cheating on him with someone else. Some of the lyrics went 'cos I saw you with him'. Sorry it's so vague. It's not a slow song. The next one is slower and by a girl/woman. Now I may have these lyrics wrong but i think they go a little like 'these feelings are for the rest of my life, my love. Make me feel beautiful tonight'. I've tried google and YouTube but nothing. Hopefully someone here can help!

  • Can a hernia cause dizziness?

Two weeks ago I went to see my GP over a bladder infection, and whilst there she asked to feel my stomach and said it feels like I have a hernia and is sending me for an ultrasound to confirm. My stomach has been bloated and gotten bigger since having my Son via emergency C-section 3 years ago, but I just thought it was post baby fat. Anyway, the past week or so I've been feeling really dizzy after eating a big meal to the point where I have to lie down or I will fall down-could the hernia be causing this? If so, is there anything I can do? My GP said I could be waiting a while for an appointment so I'm a little nervous at just waiting around with these symptoms. Thank you.

  • Possible dry socket?

I had a broken tooth removed on Friday. It was a simple extraction and all seemed well afterwards. Yesterday (Sunday) I could feel a small lump on the side of the gum of the extracted tooth which hurt slightly when touched. Today I woke up and couldn't speak as I felt a strong stinging sensation when I moved my mouth. I rubbed some bonjela (cream for toothache and ulcers) onto the gum and it soothed it instantly. Today my friend has looked into my mouth and said there is something round and white on my gum along the edge and on the inside where the blood clot was. So I looked it up and google came up with dry socket-only isn't that supposed to be extremely painful? I mean, this hurts but I've had worse and surely dry socket pain wouldn't just go with some mild antiseptic cream? It really does feel similar to an ulcer/canker sore pain though. Thank you for all replies!

  • How long does criminal compensation take to come through?

My husband was attacked last year and had his mobile phone stolen. The man responsible is now locked up (for a very long time too!) and today we put in the claim for compensation but we really have no idea how long it takes. My husband only spent one night in hospital for head injuries and needed stitches and bed rest once he was allowed back home so it is quite a straightforward application and we have given all the details they need-police and hospital details, etc. Any rough ideas? Thank you in advance :)

  • lightning returns keeps crashing?

I bought lightning return brand new from game for xbox 360. Took it home and it wouldn't load. I cleaned it and tried again, then made some free space and tried again, then updated my system and tried again and it worked-sort of. It crashed after about half an hour into the game. I reset it and it took a few more attempts to get it to load, then crashed again in the middle of a battle. Annoyed, I took it back and went and bought another brand new copy, this time from hmv. Same issue. So two completely different discs, both brand new, both not working. And before you say my xbox is faulty-every single one of my other games works perfectly. I'm completely stumped, and still waiting on a return email from square enix. Help?!

  • Round red marks on my legs?

About 6 months ago I noticed a small, round red mark on my right leg, just above my foot. It wasn't dry or scaly, and I thought it was some sort of bruise and forgot about it. 6 months on it is bigger than it was before, and there are more. I have a huge one on my right thigh and 3 more on my left leg. They don't hurt or itch, aren't dry or scaly but they just keep growing. Only on my legs, nowhere else. They look like a round shape, red, with little darker red pin prick marks on them. They disappear under glass though and I feel fit and well in my self (currently 8 weeks pregnant and always chasing after my hyper 2 year old Son). Any ideas? My gp said dry skin but they don't feel dry and the cream I used hasn't made a difference. I'm a very clean person. Oh and I'm a 24 year old female. Thanks in advance.

  • My Son's cough won't go away?

2 weeks ago my 2 and a half year old Son caught a cold and got a bad cough with it. It was so bad that the doctor put him on a course of antibiotics, but it didn't get any better. I spoke to the doctor again who said some coughs just linger after a cold and he'll be fine within a few days, however it's been 2 weeks now and getting worse. 2 nights ago he woke up with a coughing fit that got so bad he retched and was sick twice. During the day he does cough but not half as bad as at night. He still eats and dtinks, plays etc and his temperature is normal so why is he still so ill? Oh and I've also noticed it's worse after a bath or when he has been running around. Thanks in advance.

  • Halloween fancy dress in Leeds?

I'm throwing a Halloween party this Thursday at my home and struggling to find somewhere in Leeds City centre (England) that sells Halloween costumes cheap but not too cheap (maybe around £15-£20). I need somewhere that sells costumes for both adults and children (my Son is 2 years old) but nothing too scary (my idea was black wings, like a fallen angel). Any ideas? I've tried culture vulture, next and new look but they don't sell what I'm looking for. Thanks in advance! And please, no ebay or amazon suggestions as I can't buy online atm, only in cash.

  • When will things get back to normal?

5 nights ago my husband was followed home by a man who charged into the house behind him and attacked him with a gun in our front room. There was so much blood, I thought he was going to die. He is recovering well but even though the man is now locked up I'm still so scared all the time. I'm hardly sleeping or eating, and when I do sleep I have horrible dreams about that night. Every little sound makes me jump and I take a panic alarm with me everywhere I go. Has anyone been through similar? How did you cope? We also have a 2 year old Son so I can't take any strong medication. My friends live in other cities so can't get help from them and the only family I have is my mum...but she seems to think I should just get over it already.

  • Flat full of damp and mould-any help?

Me, my husband and our 19 month old son live in a ground floor flat which has a bad damp problem. It's in every room and today i've found mould on our son's mattress. months ago i reported this problem to the council who said they would send someone and never did. I've bought a dehumidifier, tried cleaning the mould off and then painting over stubborn bits but it's such a cold flat. We have no central heating or even a gas fire-the council say we don't need it unless we're elderly or disabled, so we run up a huge electricity bill every week with free standing heaters. I've ordered a new mattress for our Son but what can I do to stop that one getting mouldy too? I'm at my wits end as I have depression so any advice would be helpful.
