If we are the product of a natural process, why do we not follow a natural course, but instead, we ate juxtaposed even to our own natures.?

Our complexity includes second guessing what might otherwise be a "natural" action. Perhaps we do so out of fear for social position, or social perception of our actions. It would seem then that society shares these common limitations...But where is the origin of such balances in our natures?

Update:

There is also the idea of the presence of conscience, which is only made notable when the naturally selected action is in contravention of conscience, thereby initiating what is commonly thought of as a "twinge," occurring only when the considered action, even if possibly "normal" in other species, is considered contrary to "proper behavior" for humans. How did such a thing present itself as a natural product of our development?

I can only assume by the absence of answers that the atheists out there, usually otherwise prolific in their written objections to any reference to the potential of a positive indication of the metaphysical, simply have no answer as to why their ideas of "right and wrong" might have any merit.

The lion has no idea of right and wrong when it kills but it kills for food.

The weasel that also kills for sport, also has no idea of right and wrong.

The reason "only man blushes, or needs to" is that he is equipped with an auto response to live by a law established within him as a birthright, inherent in the "image of God."
