Looking for a movie title about a black maid...?

....working on a plantation. A white girl living on the plantation gets pregnant and gives her baby to the black maid to take care of. The girl then leaves to become a nun. The movie probably was filmed in the 1950's. It's not Imitation of Life. The main girl kind of looks like Nathalie Wood. Thanks!
