reprogramming original ford pats key?
I replaced the pcm module in my ford truck. Now my truck won't start. I know about the programming a spare key ignition trick but is there a way I can re program my original key without calling a locksmith, going to the dealership, or buy some kind obII tool?

Your original key matches the old PCM. You'll need to tow it to a dealship and have them program it for you. I did the same thing not long ago. It costed me about $30 for the tow and $40 for programming as many keys as I wanted done so I had three keys programmed. Your towing cost will depend on how far you are from the dealership. First I would call them and explain the situation and ask for the cost to program a new key. Then you can determine the tow cost. If you have AAA roadside service you might be able to get them to tow you at no cost, depending on your membership plan.
