Songs Keep Disappearing From iTunes Library?
I know this is a fairly common issue, but I'm yet to find a solution. I have over 5000 songs, of which maybe just about 1000 are purchased. I notice this occasionally, but its such a hassle as I obviously can't remember which songs are missing and I am really sentimental about my music.

I have over 16,000 songs on my iTunes, and I've never had a song disappear. I have had songs get messed up when downloading -- they'd cut out halfway through instead of playing the whole song -- and I've had to go into the cloud and re-download them. But if your songs are disappearing, you might want to contact Apple. You may have been hacked, or something like that
Not sure what the deal is for uploads, but you can always re-download purchases from the Cloud.
