How to become someone who searches chatrooms for pedophiles legally?

I was molested as a child, and it kills me knowing what these sick people are doing to these children. I would like to do something to help catch these 'people'. I will do it for free, just so long as some can get caught. Anyone know how to go about doing this?

    Legally you have to be a law enforcer or in a branch of law enforcement. But if you so happen to stumble upon your childs open computer and notice some alarming msgs than contact your local law enforcement and seek investigation. But if this is a career choice than start with becoming a cop.

    Contact the FBI. Don't do it on your own. People have been charged and the excuse that they were trying to help was laughed out of court.
