I'm not the only one.Women say this.. My grown kids don't call/visit. I see they have many gatherings but I'm invited. Any insights?

You're not the only one- it happens all the time!

Many people will move on as they get older, and some people are also just a bit hopeless and never get in touch. It doesn't really surprise me that they don't invite you to all their gatherings- a lot of social events with your friends, you probably don't want your parents present (it can be a bit embarrassing for all involved).

If you want to spend more time with them, it might help to take the initiative yourself- don't wait for them to call, call them yourself and make time to see them.

You may have inadvertently driven them away, made a spouse (or significant other) uncomfortable, or said something that was taken out of context or was simply misunderstood.

My grown children visit too often... almost. Gotta love them... lest you kill them. LOL! My grandchildren just have WAY more energy than I do and their parents don't seem to appreciate the fact. I must say though, it is better than too little visitation.

Call them and make an invite. Take them on a guilt trip if you must, to get them to come, but when they do, be very congenial and non-judgmental. Be sure to let them know how much you enjoy their visits and that you love them very much.

    Good luck my friend.

try asking them why? if trying to have an adult conversation about something you care about doesn't work you might want to think about why that is. it might just answer your first question too.
