How do I get rid of these chinese characters at the top of my Firefox tabs?

Both these idiots are wrong. I have never visited a Chinese site. I followed the directions of the first guy and the Chinese characters came back in a couple of days.

I have the same issue in Firefox 40.0.3. Already tried all the suggestions, like turning OFF hardware acceleration, cleaning cookies and cache, reseting and restarting firefox, allowing fonts etc, but nothing works!

Any suggestions?

Everybody listen, this works.. Go to.... Browser Menu Bar on Firefox...go to......tools/ options/ advanced/ (uncheck the box which says)...

"use hardware acceleration when available"....click "OK".

Simple. Period. All the geeks and tech experts have written tons about this

for years and its a hoot to read that they get into writing code, directory nonsense, reinstalling, font installing/uninstalling, "wait and it will go away"...no kidding. Check it out.

But this works and it's not my brain child. Give me a break folks. No wonder we can't pay off the national debt!!!

if you visited some oriental sites, they will go away in a few days

worked when i turned off the hardware acceleration. I then restarted all the windows and they are gone. thanks.
