I failed my Chemistry Test and don t know how to break it to my parents. What should I do?
So I had this pretty important Chemistry Test that I failed. It was part of the IB Mock Exams. I ve applied to universities for a major in Chemistry and gotten offers. My IB Final Exams are in 2 months, and after having failed this test, I ve almost lost all my confidence. I m afraid that I would fail the finals as well
However, what bothers me more is how I should break this news to my parents. I applied to universities in USA, and if you re American, you would probably know how expensive the universities are. My parents promised to send me to an American university, provided I get good grades in my favourite subjects.
I m afraid that my parents would be extremely angry and disappointed to hear that I m not doing well in my major subject. Failure is not tolerated in my family and I m afraid they would decide not to send me to USA.
I don t know what to do. Please help...

Step back and figure out what happened.
Did you fail because you were sick that day, or did you fail because you're not as good at chemistry as you wish you were, or did you fail because you studied the wrong topics? If you were sick, then there isn't anything to do except keep studying. If you studied the wrong topics, you have two months to catch up.
Depending on how the finals go, you might find that you're not a match for chemistry. Or you might find that sometimes you have a bad day and you recover on the final.

Tell them that you're trying your best but couldn't help this time.. I have failed lots of times too and one time, I tried to hide my failed exam results but no luck.. my mom found out about it and it made it worse.
Look, they're gonna appreciate your honesty and it will let them realize that they can trust you..
Remember, they love you a lot.. so just speak up by having your first line like you are so disappointed of yourself and you feel so bad.. They'll understand.
Don't think about failing the finals !
You can do it . You are there for a reason.. Just keep on praying.
