I've been wearing 4" and 5" stilettos every day for 20+ years. The advice I can give is buy heels that are well made and fit well. A cheap ill-fitting heel will destroy your feet. Yes, they cost more, but they'll last longer and your feet will love you for it. Rounded toe is also best. Avoid pointed. They are sexier, but compress your toes and that will cause you pain.

i wear high heels every day to work and honestly the only thing that helps is high heel insoles and just fighting through the pain. the more you wear them, the more they'll conform to your foot and eventually become less and less painful. i also found that buying my heels a half a size bigger and putting a rubber insoles at the back of the shoe to help them become more snug makes them feel less painful and are more tolerable. hope this helps!

The only thing that bothers me is blisters, so I make sure I wear pantyhose or tights when wearing heels, which keeps my from getting blisters and gives a little cushion

try soaking them in hot water for a few minutes when you get home. then maybe massage your feet with lotion. :)
